Vehicle & Utility Trailer Requirements

Do your Vehicle & Utility Trailer qualify to work with GAIN? Almost all SUVs do, but requirements vary by vehicle option.

Minimum requirements

To work with GAIN, your Vehicle & Utility Trailer must meet the minimum requirements.

Vehicle requirements:

• Vehicles with minimum 2,000 lbs. Towing power (almost all SUVs)
• Good condition with no cosmetic damage
• No commercial branding
• Pass a commercial vehicle inspection by an authorized inspection facility
• Must have 1-7/8″ or, 2″ hitch ball (2,000 lbs. minimum)
• Must have external mirrors on both sides
• Maximum recommended speed is 55 MPH

Utility Trailer requirements (if applicable):

You can have your personal Utility Trailer with the following requirements or you can apply for renting one from us while signing up.
• 5’ x 9’ Utility Trailer spring-assisted fold down EZ-loading ramp
• Empty weight: 1,240 lbs.
• Max load: 1,650 lbs.
• Ramp Capacity: 1,810 lbs.
• Maximum Gross Weight (trailer plus load): 2,890 lbs.
• Equipped with 4-way lighting operating at all time

Insurance

You need to provide Certificate of Insurance and registration for both Vehicle and Utility trailer Registration.

GAIN Sticker

Under local regulations, all collectors must display GAIN stickers on their Vehicle while online. Place one on your front windshield on the passenger side, and two magnetic stickers on both left and right front doors of the vehicle.

Not displaying stickers can result in fines.
