Gain

Who We Are ?

GAIN works as a digital aggregator platform which uses AI and BI algorithm, connecting homes who have recyclable raw materials with both collectors and recycling businesses that are willing to serve them.

Our story:

Hamed Aghayan, a PhD candidate in Industrial Management, majoring in Systems Management, and the Vice President of Commerce of A.CO Corporation in Tehran, Iran, since 2016, is the Chief executive director of GAIN Co.
He founded a startup in the field of automotive services in Iran in 2016, which is still active in that Corporation.
Due to the requirements of the battery industry for recycled lead, he had to try to supply lead for his manufacturing corporation, and this great challenge in supplying recycled raw materials and the lack of stable and reliable resources to provide the most important raw material for the battery industry made him planning a recyclable raw material supply network for factories.
Also, through his research, he realized that the waste market in Iran and all of the world has several major problems as bellow:

  • Problems in supplying recyclable waste to industries
  • Lack of a comprehensive platform for collecting household, hospital, shop, and industrial waste
  • Lack of registration information for manufacturers of various types of household, industrial, shop, companies and hospital wastes
  • Lack of proper technical, commercial and legal advice to make a perfect deal in the supply and sale of waste
  • Lack of waste collecting system by pay money, credit charge, discount to buy goods and free services.

Therefore, GAIN is an online waste business platform that operates in the roles of B to B, B to C and C to C in the waste & scrap market. All of these items ultimately create a very wide network of suppliers of recycled raw materials. A network of micro-waste producers (INDIVIDUALS) that will become the major supplier of recycled raw materials to large factories in Canada and the world through this platform.

Finally, it causes a sustainable smart supply chain for recyclable raw materials.

Accordingly, he presented a platform with the “GAIN” brand with the following features as a solution in 2021.
The base of this platform will be on the web and includes 2 “INDIVIDUAL USER” and “PARTNER / PROVIDER” software in Android and IOS devices and also a website for the overall platform introduction.
In 2021, GAIN partnered with TECHNEW Co. in British Columbia, and the company signed its first joint venture this year with a reputable Canadian company. This year, ALDUR Holding Co W.L.L in Bahrain also signed a contract to invested in the company.
GAIN has a great planning to run this start up in Canada, BC in 2022 with TECHNEW cooperation.

Mission statement:

Here at GAIN, we have a very straightforward, but important mission:
Providing continuous services to families, members, individuals and recycling business with the best and most accessible conditions

Vision statement:

“To become the worldwide leader of recycling businesses.”

Green Age International Network, GAIN uses a novel digital aggregator platform which applies AI and BI algorithm for all three players in recycling industry that causes higher incentives for recycling and also generates higher annual revenue for them.
By the year 2050 there will be more plastic than fish in the world’s oceans if we pollute the Earth like this. We are making over 2 billion tons of solid waste each year which just 13.5% of the municipal Solid Waste in the world is recycled, that is really a disaster. Based on a case study done in Nov. 2018 on 70 households that participated in this study comprised of a total of 220 people, just a small portion (%8) of people do not care about recycling while, in some well-educated countries and some countries with a good infrastructure and culture of recycling, still the rate of recycling is low. For example, recycling rate in Japan is 20%, France is 38% and Canada is only 24%. . The US generates the most municipal solid waste in the world (292 million tons per year) that just 35% recycles. China accounts for 15.55% of all global municipal solid waste generation.

So,

WHY THE PEOPLE DO NOT RECYCLE?!

While different communities and demographics have different barriers to recycling ― and thus require unique recycling solutions to overcome them.

According to research, 43% of the people said three major reasons caused them to not recycle;

1. not accessible or convenient recycling service. (25%)

•          According to The Economist, about a quarter of Americans don’t have access to curbside recycling, meaning they have to take the extra step of dropping their cans and bottles at a recycling center if they want to participate.

2. It takes up too much time for them to recycle (10%)

3. They are charged for recycling services (8%) through Strata or annual property tax by the municipalities.

On the same research, 81% of people willing to learn about recycling, 91% of people willing to participate in recycling in the future and 74% of them are not willing to pay for recycling services.

Now think of a platform that not only you don’t need to pay for recycling services but on the other hand you will be paid through recycling without the hassle of leaving your home.

So, in a word, there is a general reason why people do not tend to recycle in the reigns with enough recycling facilities:

NOT GETTING PAID TO RECYCLE

This shows that education and the culture of recycling is not the only reason for not recycling, however not having an efficient recycling system can cause this.

Over 90% of the waste is mismanaged and this is nothing to do with education and culture of recycling.

GAIN marketplace, with artificial intelligence and business intelligence algorithms, has created capabilities for three categories of users in the recycling industry, which has increased the incentive to recycle in residential customers from 32% to 74% (meaning 2.3 times more). This incredible increase has occurred by offering organized pointing system and payment of financial incentives to the customer.

Our mission is to provide solutions that simplify and encourage recycling. With a platform like GAIN, what was once only imaginable can now be possible.
