North American Copper, Aluminum Scrap Prices Rise on the Index- December 2, 2025

The prices of Copper Radiator scrap held steady on the Index.

TORONTO (Scrap Monster): The prices of a few scrap categories in North American region recorded increase on the gain Price Index as of Tuesday, December 2, 2025. Steel and Stainless Steel scrap prices witnessed no change on the Index. Copper and Aluminum scrap prices registered a marginal increase, whereas Brass/Bronze scrap prices remained stable on the Index.
Copper Scrap Prices
Alternator prices showed no movement on the Index.
Meanwhile, #1 Copper Wire and Tubing saw a modest uptick of $0.01 per lb, with #2 Copper Wire and Tubing mirroring the same increase. #1 Copper Bare Bright also posted a slight gain of $0.01 per lb.
Prices for #1 Insulated Copper Wire (85% Recovery) were unchanged from the previous session. #2 Insulated Copper Wire (50% Recovery) also held firm. #3 Copper/Light Copper registered a marginal rise of $0.01 per lb.
Copper Radiator scrap values stayed stable on the Index.
Copper Transformer Scrap prices likewise showed no adjustment.
Cu Yokes held their previous pricing without fluctuation.
Cu/Al Radiator Ends, Cu/Al Radiators, and Cu/Al Radiators/Fe all remained steady as of December 2, 2025.
Harness Wire (35% Recovery) and Romex Wire continued to trade at prior-day levels.
Heater Core prices also stayed unchanged.
Scrap Electric Motors, Starters, Sealed Units, and Christmas Lights reported no deviations from the previous day’s pricing.
Aluminum Scrap Prices
Prices for 1100 Scrap ticked up by $0.01 per lb compared with the previous day. Similarly, 3003 Scrap also recorded a $0.01-per-lb increase on the Index. Both 356 Aluminum Wheels and 6063 Extrusions/Fe followed the same upward trend, each rising by $0.01 per lb.
Pure 6063 Extrusions also advanced by $0.01 per lb over the day.
In addition, 5052 Scrap and 6061 Extrusions posted modest gains of $0.01 per lb apiece from prior-day levels.
Al/Cu Radiators and Al/Cu Radiators/Fe showed no movement, holding steady throughout the session. Prices for Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Radiators/Fe likewise remained flat. Aluminum Transformers and Breakage (50% Recovery) were stable as of Tuesday, December 2, 2025.
E.C. Aluminum Wire registered a $0.01-per-lb rise on the Index.
Chrome Wheels, Litho Sheets, and MLC Clips each climbed by $0.01 per lb compared to the previous day’s pricing.
Mixed Aluminum Turnings also strengthened by $0.01 per lb.
Old Cast and UBC both gained $0.01 per lb on the day.
Old Sheet, Painted Siding, and Zorba 90% NF prices saw similar increases, each adding $0.01 per lb.
Steel Scrap Prices
Stainless Steel Scrap Prices
Prices for 201 SS and 301 SS held steady with no movement.
304 SS Solid remained unchanged from the previous day’s levels.
304 SS Turning also showed no price adjustment as of Monday, December 2, 2025.
Both 309 SS and 310 SS maintained their prior-day prices without variation.
330 SS values were likewise flat compared to the previous session.
Meanwhile, 316 SS Solid prices continued to hold firm on the Index with no recorded change.
Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices
Brass and bronze scrap prices across North America showed no movement on the Index.
Prices for 70/30 Brass Scrap, 80/20 Brass Scrap, 85/15 Brass Scrap, and Brass Radiators all remained unchanged as of Tuesday, December 2, 2025.
Brass Radiator/Fe and Brass Radiator Ends continued to trade at their previous day’s levels.
Red Brass, Red Borings, and Yellow Brass also stayed steady, with no fluctuations recorded on the Index.
