TORONTO (Scrap Monster): The North American scrap metal prices tumbled on ScrapMonster Price Index as on March 24th, Thursday. Brass, Bronze and Copper scrap prices declined on Index. Aluminum scrap prices recorded decline over the previous day. Meantime, Stainless Steel and Steel scrap prices held steady on Index.
The price of Alternator scrap witnessed no change on Index. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing and #2 Copper Wire and Tubing prices were down by $0.05 per Lb. The price of #1 Copper Bare Bright too dropped by $0.05 per Lb.
The prices of #1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery declined by $0.01 per Lb over the day. #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices were down by $0.01 per Lb over the day. #3 Copper-Light copper prices tumbled by $0.05 per Lb from previous day’s level.
The prices of Copper Radiator scrap dipped by $0.01 per Lb from previous day’s levels. Copper Transformer Scrap and CuYokes prices were unchanged over the previous day.
The prices of Copper Radiator scrap witnessed dip by $0.01 per Lb from previous day’s levels. Cu/Al Radiator Ends prices were flat from the previous day.
Meanwhile, the prices of Cu/Al Radiators and Cu/Al Radiators/Fe witnessed no change on March 24th, 2022.
Harness Wire 35% Recovery and Heater cores prices were flat on Index.
The price of Romex Wire witnessed a decline by $0.01 per Lb during the day.
The prices of Scrap Electric Motors, Sealed units, Starters and Xmas Lights saw no change from previous day price levels.
1100 Scrap prices inched lower by $0.03 per Lb over the day. The prices of 3003 Scrap were down by $0.03 per Lb on Index. The prices of 356 Aluminum Wheels and 6063 Extrusions/Fe too declined by $0.03 per Lb.
The prices of 6063 Extrusions recorded decline of $0.03 per Lb over the day.
Meantime, prices of 5052 Scrap and 6061 Extrusions dipped by $0.03 per Lb and $0.02 per Lb respectively when compared with the previous day.
The prices of Al/Cu Radiators and Al/Cu Radiators/Fe were flat on Index. Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Radiators/Fe prices inched lower by $0.01 per Lb. Aluminum Transformers and Breakage 50% Recovery prices edged down by $0.01 per Lb each on March 24th, 2022.
Chrome Wheels were down by $0.02 per Lb on Index.
E.C Aluminum Wire prices inched lower by $0.04 per Lb over the previous day.
Litho Sheets and MLC Clips were down by $0.03 per Lb each from previous day’s levels.
Mixed Aluminum Turnings prices dropped by $0.02 per Lb.
The prices of Old Cast and UBC saw dip by $0.02 per Lb each over the previous day.
Old Sheet prices held steady.
Painted Siding and Zorba 90% NF prices were down by $0.03 per Lb and $0.02 per Lb respectively.
#1 Bundle prices remained flat over the previous day.
The prices of #1 Busheling and #1 HMS too witnessed no change on 24th March, 2022.
HMS 80/20 prices held steady on Index.
Sheet Metal, Shredded Auto Scrap and Structural Steel also reported no change in prices in comparison with the previous day.
201 SS and 301 SS prices reported no change.
304 SS Solid prices too remained flat over the previous day.
304 SS Turning witnessed no change in prices on March 24th, 2022.
309 SS and 310 SS prices saw no change in price on a daily basis.
330 SS prices were flat from the prior day.
Meantime, 316 SS Solid prices too remained unchanged on Index.
The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in the North American region declined on Index.
70/30 Brass Scrap, 80/20 Brass Scrap, 85/15 Brass Scrap and Brass Radiator scrap prices dropped by $0.01 per Lb each on Thursday, March 24th, 2022.
Brass Radiator /Fe and Brass Radiator Ends prices were flat on Index.
Red Brass, Red Borings and Yellow Brass prices were down by $0.01 per Lb each.
