Sims Limited Announced New Appointment to Board of Directors

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Sims Limted- global leader in metal and electronics recycling announced key changes to its Board of Directors.

The company announced the appointment of Victoria “Vicky” Binns to the Board of Directors as an independent non-executive director effective 8th October, 2021. The appointment is subject to confirmation by shareholders at the annual general meeting scheduled to be held on 10th November, 2021.

Ms. Binns has over 35 years of vast experience in global and financial service sectors, including leading companies such as BHP, Merrill Lynch Australia and Macquarie Equities. She is also a non-executive director of Cooper Energy, Evolution Mining and the NFP Carbon Market Institute (CMI). In addition, she serves as a member of the Advisory Council for JP Morgan, Australia and New Zealand.   

Meantime, Jim Thompson, an independent non-executive director, announced his decision to not stand for re-election.

Geoffrey Brunsdon, chairman and independent non-executive director at Sims Limited welcomed Vicky to the board. He noted that her invaluable financial and organizational experience will significantly benefit the company and its shareholders. Also, he thanked Jim for his guidance and dedication over the past 12 years with the company.
